Ch 844 $2 Original Series. The Merchants NB of CINCINNATI. PMG Very Good 10. The Merchants NB was the only Cincinnati bank that issued Lazy Twos. This note is the only deuce reported, a status it has enjoyed since 1979. I've owned the note three times - its nickname is 'boomerang'. At the ANA show in 1979 I purchased it from Allen Mincho - it had traveled to that show from a Hollywood coin shop. Several years later I sold it to a very avid and persistent Cincinnati collector. His collection was later dispersed and I bought the note in a Heritage auction. Twenty years later another avid and persistent Cincinnati collector talked me into parting with it - well, these notes were meant to circulate. Tragically he died only a few years later and I became this jewel's owner for the third time. Here it is, one of a kind. Any avid Cincinnati collector willing to step up? $12,500
